Meeting went well, we discussed our relationship to clandestine groups and how what we are doing is not directly connected to them, but how showing solidarity to individual initiative coming from such groups should be supported.
What was more important was exposing our desire for ties with Mutual Aid groups and the potential aid in the growth of Mutual Aid Networks of some sort.
We also exposed that worker councils, general assemblies and other "new relationships" need to be supported through our propaganda. That our subversion is in favor of creating these new relationships at the cost of relationships with the institutions of the social order.
The ties of unions to business, neighborhood associations to municipal governments, political organizations to governments at large, are ones to be subverted altogether. The influence of politics and counter power relationships need to be broken. These old relationships only continue capitalism, they are part of the establishment, no matter their rhetoric to the contrary.
What we want is TAZ, temporary autonomous groups, new relationships where the ties to the old order are not so strong, where we can effectively expose a way of being that is beyond the old order, that wants the creation of not necessarily a new order, but rather a relationship that seeks to challenge and undermine the old order in favor of self-power and an end to our alienation from power.
Besides TAZ, workplace committees, worker fraction groups, neighborhood discussion groups and other smaller groups can be united with. Though not as powerful as TAZ groupings, they are embryos of new relationships that exist with the potential to express power. They too can subvert and undermine, express reasons to break relationships with the old order and though they might lack the ability to attempt the creation of these things, they can provide the experimental basis for the reasons for the creation of TAZ.
Largely we acknowledged we are a propaganda group. Not as flashy as clandestine groups, but with the ability to network and be open about our views. We can be specific about what we want as a propaganda group also, where other groupings rely on specific reasons to function...they rely on a practical purpose that may not lie in our direction, but can share with us in some ways that a clandestine group can't really hope to do, at least in as open a manner as we can. Our ability to network with groups we'd like to function with may be as powerful or more so than putting signs up describing our desires for ending the relationships of the old.
I'll go into more detail later as I continue my considerations.
